About Diya
I am a medical statistician currently working in clinical trials, with a strong academic background in both science and quantitative analysis. I hold a First-Class BSc in Neuroscience from QMUL and a Distinction MSc in Applied Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics from KCL.
Alongside my professional work, I have over 4 years of experience tutoring GCSE Maths and Science students with a range of abilities and learning styles. I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may find challenging and supporting them in achieving their academic goals.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and tailored to the individual student. I focus on helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts, improve analytical thinking, and strengthen exam technique in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Outside of tutoring, I have a strong interest in neuroscience, data analysis, and healthcare research, and over the past 3 years I have worked in clinical trials across therapeutic areas including perinatal and cardiovascular health.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style, with a focus on building confidence, strengthening scientific understanding, and helping students approach GCSE Biology in a clear and structured way.
I use diagrams, worked examples, active recall techniques, and exam-style questions to help students improve both their subject knowledge and exam technique. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in biology.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and taught online. I mainly teach GCSE Biology students, including those preparing for exams, aiming to improve grades, or looking to build stronger foundations in science.
