About Alex
I have spent a lot of time throughout my university career teaching and helping others, especially as an RA, where I helped my residents with their introductory chemistry and biology courses.
I intend to pursue a double master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies and Public Health after completing my bachelor's degree
Currently, I am a college senior in a medical laboratory sciences program, meaning I am in a clinical internship. I have already completed curricula in general/ organic/ analytical/ biochemistry, human anatomy, medical human physiology, immunology, medical bacteriology, molecular biology and hematology all with an A or A- while maintaining my Honors Student status. I also have written my University Honors Thesis, which is on Evolutionary Functional Divergence of Proteins, in which we used genetic engineering to determine how proteins differentiated.

As a strong, experienced student, I have been in classes that work and classes that don't. I believe it's important for students to have variety in their methods of learning. Breaking down complex topics to learn the theory and critical thinking behind them is the best way to learn them, rather than just memorization or PowerPoint slides. I am very adaptable to other learning styles, and like to use practice questions, examples, explanations and diagrams to help people learn!
I look forward to working with high school and college students to help them excel in introductory/cell biology, organic chemistry, microbiology and human anatomy/physiology!
