About Dr Amy
I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (BMBS) and Bachelor in Medical Sciences 2:1 (BMedSci). Since completing university I have also passed my postgraduate exam for Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP(UK)).
I am patient, approachable and down-to-earth which works to my advantage in teaching others. Teaching is a core part of our work as a doctor and I look forward to continuing through this platform.

I'm a medical doctor working in the NHS as a haematology registrar. I completed MRCP(UK) in 2020 so I understand how daunting the dreaded PACES exam can be!
I have been involved in communication skills teaching throughout my working life for medical students, so I will put this knowledge to use with a programme of one hour lessons covering the communication skills and history taking stations including:
- breaking bad news
- discussion with relatives/next of kin
- capacity and consent
- using the four pillars of medical ethics
- managing patient's concerns

Additionally, I have been involved in medical admissions for many years as part of a society helping students to apply to medical school in the UK while I was in medical school. I understand what medical schools want to see in your personal statement, and can coach you on what the interview may cover to give you the best chance of obtaining that place in the medical school of your dreams!
