About Chaz
I have consistently helped and tutored friends through high school and undergrad, but in grad school I was finally able to help other students in a professional setting as a Teaching Assistant. I have experience setting up tutorial seminars, grading papers, working with students on special projects and providing 1-on-1 guidance in specific areas. I finished my undergraduate degree during the pandemic so I am very aware of the challenges faced by students in the hybrid in-person/online style classes and know how much more difficult it can make learning. I was an excellent student through university always holding an A or A+ average and I can't wait to help you achieve your academic goals!

Too often teachers are simply telling you what to do instead of showing you how to do it. I've seen it happen, students can memorize a problem and the solution, but as soon as the problem changes slightly or is presented differently, students become lost because they weren't taught HOW to solve the problem. My focus as a tutor is to give you the tools and techniques to handle any problem in your subject with ease.
A typical lesson plan will include a few minutes of review and then introducing new topics/techniques.
The rest of the lesson will be focused on working through practice problems together and solving issues as they arise. By the end of a session, you should be able to confidently handle any similar scenarios on your own!
My lessons are specifically designed for students taking undergraduate programs in Engineering or STEM, but the content can be adjusted for anyone from elementary school to graduate students!
