About Sophie
Hi! My name is Sophie, and I’m a mechanical engineering student with a passion for robotics. I have years of experience mentoring students of all ages— from elementary school to college— helping them develop skills in robotics, engineering, and problem-solving. My journey in robotics began with the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) in high school, where I was a dedicated team member for three years. After graduating, I transitioned to VEX U in college, where I have been competing for nearly three years. Through these experiences, I have developed expertise in robot design strategy, CAD, and manufacturing, as well as a strong ability to teach and mentor others. I offer virtual tutoring sessions, making it easy for students to learn from anywhere! My lessons are designed to be interactive and hands-on, ensuring students gain practical knowledge in CAD, design strategy, troubleshooting, and competition preparation. Whether you're just starting in robotics or looking to refine advanced skills, I’ll provide personalized guidance to help you succeed.
