About Dr Basmah
I am a junior doctor who graduated from St George's University of London in 2022. I have experience being a biology mentor for students at school, as well as running my own science and language after school clubs. I achieved the highest GCSE grades in my school (10 A*s and 2 As) and went on to study the IB before attending medical school.

My teaching method is one that ensures the student receives maximum benefit from the classes. I create a relaxed environment where the student is encouraged to ask questions and drive the sessions to cater to their own queries and needs. I approach topics by having materials to assist the different types of learners, whether they are visual, auditory or kinaesthetic: often incorporating all 3 to ensure that the student fully understands the subject. Having been a shy, but driven pupil in my early school days I make sure my students appreciate that it is perfectly acceptable to not understand certain topics, but with determination we will be able to overcome any subject areas they are struggling with.

Perfect! Dr. Basmah is an incredibly friendly and approachable tutor. She has always been patient and understanding when it comes to explaining challenging concepts, and her positive attitude has helped me to feel comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification. Dr. Basmah's warmth and friendliness make her an excellent mentor and teacher, and I always feel encouraged and motivated after our tutoring sessions.
Additionally, Dr. Basmah has been incredibly flexible in accommodating my busy schedule. She has worked around my extracurricular activities and school commitments to find times that work for both of us. Her flexibility and willingness to adjust to my needs have made a significant difference in my ability to keep up with my coursework and balance my other responsibilities.Perfect! Dr.Basmah has done an amazing job helping me with my biology AS-level. She comes across as very patient, friendly, and easy to get along with.
She always makes sure I understood a concept and is willing to explain again if anything was left unclear. She is an incredibly smart and fun teacher and I always get caught up by surprise when our lesson finishes, as time passes very quickly.
All in all, I would highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling with AS biology, as Dr.Basmah is truly wonderful both as a teacher and a person.Perfect! Perfect! From the first contact via the site, Basmah responded to my request very quickly and has been an excellent tutor for my son ever since. She works through the Y12 Biology topics in depth & goes through how to answer questions in each topic. Her style of teaching is efficient & straight to the point which help engage my son & has given him a better understanding of topics in Biology.
She is also helping with prepping him for potential university admissions questions, making him think about his responses.

Dr Basmah is honestly one of the best tutors in the Gravesham/Kent area. She teaches a variety of subjects, as well as going above and beyond to mentor students on how to get into medical school and skills for interviews/personal statements. Every lesson is definitely worth it- they're organised well and packed full of content :)
Dr Basmah has been tutoring/mentoring students for years in a variety of subjects. The 3 things that everyone says stand out about her are her kindness, patience and how smart she is. She adapts her teaching style to each student and feels passionately about getting them to achieve their full potential in exams.
