About Mr Ryan's
I’m a dedicated tutor with over 4 years of experience helping students build confidence and improve their academic performance.
With a First Class degree in Cyber Security, I have a strong academic background and a clear, structured approach to teaching. Over the years, I’ve supported students across a wide range of abilities — from those who are struggling and need to build foundations, to those aiming for top grades.
Alongside my own tutoring, I also work with a small, carefully selected team of tutors. This allows us to support more students while maintaining a high standard of teaching, consistency, and reliability.
My focus is always on making learning clear and manageable. Many students don’t lack ability — they just need the right explanations and guidance. By breaking topics down and focusing on exam technique, I help students make steady, measurable progress.
I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

Teaching Approach & Methodology
I focus on building both understanding and confidence, rather than just memorising content. My approach is centred around identifying each student’s weak areas early on and then targeting those through structured practice and clear explanations.
In lessons, I typically:
Break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps
Use exam-style questions from the start to build familiarity
Encourage students to explain their thinking, which helps reinforce understanding
Adapt my teaching style depending on the student (visual, step-by-step, or discussion-based)
A strong emphasis is placed on exam technique, as many students struggle not with the content itself, but with applying it under exam conditions.
Lesson Structure & Length
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, which I’ve found to be the ideal balance between focus and productivity. For students preparing for exams, I also offer longer sessions (e.g. 90 minutes) where needed.
A typical lesson includes:
Review of previous topics or homework
Focused teaching on a key topic
Practice questions (including exam-style questions)
Quick recap and action points for improvement

I hold a First Class degree in Cyber Security and have over 4 years of tutoring experience, supporting students across a range of levels and abilities.
I also work with a small team of tutors, and together we’ve helped students improve by multiple grades through targeted practice, clear explanations, and consistent feedback.
All tutoring is structured, reliable, and tailored to each student’s goals — whether that’s building confidence, passing an exam, or achieving top grades.
