Maths Tutor (11+, KS3 & GCSE Higher/Foundation Tier)
My lessons focus on clear, step-by-step explanations and plenty of practice with GCSE-style exam (AQA, Edexcel & OCR) or SATs exam questions so students can become comfortable with the format and improve their exam technique. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging topics.
Lessons (online) will normally be 1hr long, with feedback provided and homework set at the end of each.
Here's a quick guide on areas covered for each group, lessons will be tailored for each student:
11+ / SATs Maths: Core maths skills including arithmetic, fractions, ratios, problem-solving, and logical reasoning commonly tested in 11+ and SATs maths exams.
Key Stage 3 Maths: Build strong foundations in algebra, number skills, graphs, geometry, and problem-solving to prepare them for GCSE maths.
GCSE Maths (Foundation & Higher): Key GCSE topics including algebra, ratios, graphs, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and exam-style problem solving.
Lessons are suitable for 10 - 16 year olds, however adults who would like to improve their core maths skills are welcome too.
