About Alastair
I am currently studying for my MSc in Actuarial Science at the University of Manchester, I obtained 1st class honours in Mathematics from Manchester Metropolitan University, I am extremely passionate about Mathematics and I love teaching and passing that excitement for Maths on to others.
I have been doing private tuition now for just under 4 years, Both in a tuition centre and privately. I consider myself to be a patient tutor, I once upon a time hated Maths and I can emphasise with students and appreciate the difficulty of Maths as a subject.

Often when starting fresh with a new student I will give the student a mini assignment looking at key topics from the GCSE/A-Level curriculum to assess the students strengths/weaknesses.
From this we can then often build a plan around the students weaknesses and help push this student to their target grade/exceeding their target grade.
I can also help students prepare for GCSE/A-Level exams offering exam preparation, tips and tricks to help succeed and achieve the students target grades and my own custom mock exams which students will not have seen before.
