About Kartika
I am a primary school teacher, having taught for ten years now. I have been head of science, personal development lead for the school and am now a year leader.
I love the ability to help children learn and to watch the "switch flip" when something finally becomes clear and they have a deeper understanding.
I am passionate about maths, particularly when encouraging pupils to see it is quite an exciting and clear subject once the foundation has been built.

Firstly we discuss the intended end outcome for your child and what you hope to achieve. After assessment, I will plot out the gaps in their learning and aim to tackle each one with a hands-on, active approach. My aim is to ensure each session is routine - to promote fluency - and engaging - to assist in embedding.
Typically I keep each session one hour in total; however, from experience with older children (Year 6 and up), might group 2 hours together; one maths hour and one English hour.
Age for students: Year 2 to Year 6 ideally (open to tutoring high school as I do have experience in tutoring up to GCSE maths and English).
