About Leia
I am passionate in helping pupils to develop confidence and independence in their learning by creating a safe and supportive environment where mistakes can be made and learnt from. I am passionate about helping children to succeed in whatever they desire. I will also teach some tools to reduce exam anxiety such as simple breathing exercises if desired.

My teaching philosophy is to make learning as enjoyable and motivating as possible. In order create positive attitudes and behaviour towards learning I feel it is imperative to build strong positive relationships with each pupil. I believe in a creative approach to teaching and do my best to put everything into a context - finding a link to the children’s interests - to make the topic more exciting and engaging. I agree strongly with Dwecks growth mind-set theory that “no matter what your ability is, effort is what ignites that ability and turns it into accomplishment”
