About Quinn
My journey into mathematics education began with a desire to help students overcome anxiety and self-doubt related to numbers. I earned an M.Sc in Mathematics Education, where I studied learning psychology, curriculum development, and effective instructional strategies. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with students across elementary school maths, middle school maths, geometry, algebra, and SAT maths, helping them replace confusion with confidence. I teach with empathy, patience, and adaptability, tailoring explanations to each learner’s pace. I use visual representations, step-by-step reasoning, and practical examples to make abstract ideas accessible. Many students who once felt discouraged gradually develop independence and confidence as they learn to reason logically. Outside teaching, I design learning resources, study modern education research, and refine problem-solving techniques. Teaching mathematics is deeply fulfilling because it empowers students with lifelong analytical skills and self-belief.

Mathematics becomes more approachable when students are guided to understand relationships between ideas rather than memorising formulas. In my lessons, I support learners across elementary school maths, middle school maths, geometry, algebra, and SAT maths using structured explanations that emphasise reasoning, clarity, and consistency. I focus on helping students understand why methods work so they can solve problems confidently and independently. Lesson plans are carefully personalised. Beginners develop number sense, arithmetic fluency, and foundational logic. Intermediate learners strengthen skills in geometry, algebraic manipulation, proportional reasoning, and multi-step problem-solving. Advanced learners focus on SAT maths strategies, efficient problem-solving, time management, and advanced logical reasoning. Each lesson includes guided practice, feedback, and reflection. Maths lessons also foster patience, confidence, and structured thinking. As students improve in algebra and geometry, they approach challenges with greater calm and focus. My goal is to help learners trust their reasoning abilities and develop mathematical skills that support success across academic disciplines.
