About Faith
My interest in mathematics began with fascination for patterns, structures, and logical problem-solving. This led me to complete a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I honed both theoretical and applied skills. Over 13 years of teaching, I have guided learners through conceptual challenges, helping them gain confidence and develop critical thinking skills.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, patience, and adaptability. I explain concepts using multiple approaches, analogies, and visual reasoning, tailored to each student’s learning style. I encourage learners to verbalize their thought process, which strengthens comprehension, retention, and independent problem-solving. I prioritize understanding over speed, helping learners build deep, durable knowledge.
Outside teaching, I stay connected to mathematics through problem-solving, research reading, and applied exploration. Teaching mathematics is rewarding because I witness learners evolve from uncertainty to mastery, gaining confidence, analytical skills, and a love for reasoning that extends beyond the classroom.

Mathematics becomes approachable when learners understand the reasoning behind methods instead of focusing on rote memorization. I incorporate visualizations, stepwise examples, and guided reasoning exercises to make abstract ideas tangible. Lessons are paced to allow reflection, practice, and mastery, ensuring learners develop both skill and intuition.
Lesson depth and focus are adapted to the learner’s level. Beginners concentrate on foundational number sense, basic operations, and logical reasoning.
