About Zachary
My fascination with mathematics began with an interest in patterns, logical reasoning, and problem-solving in everyday life. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, which equipped me with strong theoretical knowledge and analytical skills. Over 10 years, I have taught learners at all levels, helping them gain conceptual clarity, problem-solving ability, and confidence in their mathematical reasoning.
I follow a student-centered methodology, using visual aids, stepwise explanations, interactive exercises, and practical examples. I encourage learners to question assumptions, try multiple approaches, and develop independent thinking skills, building both competence and curiosity.
Outside the classroom, I engage in applied mathematics projects, research, and problem-solving activities, which allow me to bring contemporary examples into lessons. Watching students progress from uncertainty to mastery, analytical confidence, and independence is incredibly fulfilling. Supporting learners to become capable, thoughtful, and confident mathematicians is the central goal of my teaching practice.

Mathematics lessons become meaningful when learners understand not only how to solve problems but why solutions work. My approach covers algebra, geometry, calculus, probability, and statistics with an emphasis on conceptual clarity, logical reasoning, and practical applications. I integrate visual explanations, real-life scenarios, step-by-step problem-solving, and interactive exercises to help students connect theory with practice. Each lesson encourages exploration, analytical thinking, and confidence, allowing learners to tackle challenges independently while fostering intellectual curiosity and long-term comprehension.
Lesson plans are adapted to the student’s level. Beginners focus on arithmetic, simple equations, and foundational logic with patient guidance. Intermediate learners practice multi-step problems, geometric constructions, functions, and statistical interpretations. Advanced learners explore proofs, modeling, optimization, and competition-style problems, incorporating iterative feedback and guided independent practice. Each session strengthens understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, supporting academic success and mastery.
Mathematics develops analytical reasoning, structured thinking, and self-confidence. Students learn to approach challenges with logic, creativity, and strategy.
