About Mara
I am a mathematics tutor with 11 years of teaching experience and a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics. My academic background trained me to appreciate mathematics as a logical language that explains patterns and structures in the world. Over the years, I have worked with learners of varying levels, helping them replace fear with understanding through calm and structured guidance. My teaching philosophy centers on clarity, encouragement, and adaptability. I believe students succeed when they understand why a method works, not just how to apply it. I take time to adjust explanations to individual learning styles and ensure concepts are fully understood before moving forward. Creating a supportive and respectful learning environment is central to my approach. Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with mathematics through problem-solving, reading, and continuous learning.
