About Heidi
Mathematics PhD from the University of Minnesota; 10 years of university teaching experience; 3 years researching and experimenting with course design and teaching styles at the University of Dallas; 1.5 years teaching college mathematics to international audiences in China, India, and Kuwait; 15 months (up to present day) teaching science and math remotely to K-12 kids through AmeriCorps and a Russian mathematics academy; 6 years during my adolescence of teaching Oregon history and about Chinese botanical gardens to kids of all ages at the Oregon Historical Society and Lan Su Garden; and 1 summer at Camp Clark on the Oregon coast (age 17) teaching elementary grades geology to 4th graders using a curriculum and materials I had designed and procured independently.

Ms. Heidi has been my AP Calculus tutor as well as my SAT Prep tutor for about a year now. Being a very responsible student and not at all a procrastinator, I scheduled a last-minute session for my last exam of the semester and we spent 3 hours studying together. As expected, I aced my exam! Since then, I've been grasping new materials and concepts with a much better understanding (this is especially helpful since Calculus can be quite challenging). Ms. Heidi is a helpful aid in my education and I highly recommend her!
Dr. Heidi Andersen is an amazing math teacher. She is very meticulous and has a great knowledge of the subject. Her lessons are creative and very easy to understand. Most of all, she genuinely cares about her students' success.
