About Phoebe
My fascination with mathematics developed from an early age, drawn to patterns, logical structures, and problem-solving. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Mathematical Sciences, where I gained expertise in both theoretical and applied mathematics. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students across a broad range of abilities, helping them cultivate deep understanding, confidence, and a structured approach to mathematical challenges.
I emphasize teaching approaches that combine conceptual clarity, practical application, and analytical reasoning. Lessons are designed to encourage active engagement, exploration, and independent thinking. Students are guided step by step through complex topics, building both competence and resilience, while fostering curiosity and intellectual confidence. Individualized support ensures each learner progresses according to their unique strengths and goals.
Outside teaching, I engage with mathematical research, competitions, and real-world modeling projects to enrich lesson content with current knowledge and practical applications. Observing students grow from uncertainty to confident problem solvers is immensely rewarding.
