About Tanisha
My relationship with Mathematics began with a genuine fascination for patterns and logical explanation. This curiosity continued through school, university, and eventually into teaching. Over 8 years, I have supported learners of all levels in developing clarity, confidence, and stability in their mathematical skills. Watching students grow from uncertainty to strong understanding remains one of my greatest motivations. I teach with warmth, patience, and a clear, structured approach that helps students feel supported from the very first moment. I believe in adapting explanations to match each learner’s style—visual, verbal, step-based, or exploratory. I place great importance on creating a calm, encouraging environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at a pace that works for them. Outside of teaching, I spend time exploring mathematical theory, solving logic puzzles, and studying how mathematical thinking connects to physics, computing, and real-world problem-solving. These interests help me bring rich, practical insights into my lessons. Helping students build confidence, logical strength, and a positive relationship with Mathematics is at the heart of my work.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when students see it as a structured way of understanding the world rather than a set of disconnected rules. My lessons focus on making mathematical ideas feel intuitive and meaningful by guiding students slowly through the reasoning behind each concept. I use relatable examples, clean step-by-step breakdowns, and supportive questioning to help learners build confidence and clarity. Each session is designed to reduce stress, strengthen understanding, and help students feel genuinely capable in their mathematical journey.
Beginners develop strong foundations by working through number operations, fractions, percents, basic equations, introductory geometry, and early problem-solving patterns. Intermediate learners explore algebraic manipulation, coordinate geometry, trigonometric reasoning, symbolic expressions, and structured, multi-step solutions. Advanced students focus on calculus basics, vectors, advanced algebra, function behavior, and exam-oriented problem-solving strategies. I adapt the pacing to each learner’s comfort level, ensuring they fully understand concepts before moving forward.
Mathematics lessons also build important mental habits—clear thinking, patience, focus, and analytical decision-making. As students grow more confident, they begin to recognize patterns, understand deeper connections, and approach challenges with calm determination. My goal is to help every student realize that success in Mathematics comes from understanding, not memorization, and that they already have the ability to think logically with the right guidance and encouragement.
