About Sophia
My journey in mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, problem-solving, and logical structures in everyday life. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Mathematical Modeling. Over 8 years, I have guided students from fundamental concepts to advanced problem-solving, helping them develop analytical reasoning, confidence, and practical application skills. My teaching emphasizes understanding principles deeply while nurturing independent thinking and curiosity.
I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability, combining visual explanations, interactive exercises, and stepwise reasoning to ensure learners understand concepts thoroughly. I encourage exploration, questioning, and connecting theory with real-world applications, helping learners gain both skill and confidence.
Outside the classroom, I engage with mathematical modeling projects, competitions, and applied research. Bringing these experiences into lessons helps students see the relevance and power of mathematics. Watching learners transform confusion into clarity, and hesitation into confident problem-solving, is deeply fulfilling.
