I have tutored high school math with a reputable company that works alongside public school systems for the past four years, and I look forward to continuing to build students' understanding of math through lessons that are fun and engaging, and that help them see the bigger picture of why and how we use math - both academically and in everyday life.

I believe that teaching math is more than just transferring facts and techniques for solving problems - it's about comprehension, about building understanding of the why and then the how, and gaining a view of the bigger picture of math. I want to prepare students to be able to use math in the future, in academic settings but also in their day-to-day lives.
I strive to build students' understanding of math and the related vocabulary through discussion and discourse. Since a lot of students are visual learners, I also personalize the lessons and make them engaging with the use of graphics and visual aids - after all, the more fun something is, the easier it is to learn!
