Maria is an exceptional high school math tutor. We were lucky to slide into a mid year opening in her schedule and then continued to work with her through two more academic years, NCMath 2, 3 and 4 honors. She is a patient teacher who relates extremely well to teenage students. My son was not initially comfortable asking for or getting help, but after just a couple of meetings with Maria he was glad for the extra assistance and his grades and confidence both went up.

Maria is very patient with her students and thoroughly explains topics. She gives practice so that you can further understand topics outside of your sessions and that is very helpful too! She was great to have when I needed extra help understanding topics in AP Calculus AB.

Maria is so patient and has the ability to relate and explain to my grandson in terms & language that he clearly understands.

Maria is amazing and has been helping my son who is a freshman. She is thorough and always checks up to see how he has done on test and is always a text or call away to help. My son was not excited about having to go see a Tudor and with Maria and how much she has helped him I don’t have to twist his arm to get him to go! I can’t say how much I appreciate her and if your looking for someone that is far more than your typical Tudor then you have 💯 found it!

I think the best thing I can say about Maria is that she has made math enjoyable for me. Decades have passed since I seriously studied math. I always found it laborious, and I wondered if it was too late for me. I will now always wonder how different things would have been if I had someone like Maria to make math approachable. Maria has a gift for calibrating the lessons to meet your abilities, and she makes things tricky enough to feel like a game and not an impossible challenge.

I would highly recommend Maria as a math tutor. I do not come from a strong math background, but have to take multiple math classes for my degree, including calculus and statistics. She has worked with me 1-on-1 for several months now for my calculus course, and I have completed this class with a perfect score. She creates and enforces a comfortable and positive work environment, which strongly encourages students to succeed. She is also extremely accommodating with scheduling sessions. I am going to continue meeting with Maria throughout my upcoming statistics classes. She is patient, helpful, and really cares about her students.

Great tutor! Very knowledgeable and patient. Took the time to have a consultation with our son and determine his needs before the first session. Followed up with our son before and after tutoring. Helped our son tremendously with his precal class. Highly recommend.

I am a student taking algebra 2 and needed a tutor to practice and learn concepts. Maria is very skilled and knowledgeable. She teaches effective methods and really makes sure you understand the concepts before moving on. I have greatly improved my math skills while working with her. She also demonstrates different methods of solving to find one that works best for you.
