About Callum
I have a strong background in mathematics and physics. At secondary school, I was the top of my class achieving 95%+ in both subjects at advanced higher level. Following this, I went on to do my undergrad at the University of Strathclyde where I graduated with first-class honours as well as producing original research which is currently in preparation for publication. In current day, I am preparing for my Master at the University of Edinburgh in mathematical finance.

I offer a wide range of tutoring services catering to the pupil's individual needs. In my experience, the education system often leaves students uninterested and unengaged with mathematics and physics. As a result, they often perform poorly in these subjects. This is primarily due to the way it’s taught. Too much emphasis is placed on doing and not enough on understanding. This is where my services differ. Fundamentally, mathematics and physics are active sports and for a student to do well they need to think through concepts and solutions to problems individually. However, by providing the student with the ‘why’ behind the methods my aim is to make the student feel more interested and engaged with the content given the necessary motivation to carry out this practice which will lead them to perform to their full potential as a result!
