About Thomas
I have a track record of students achieving top grades, with several students achieving the highest each year. Having taught myself my own A-Levels, and being passionate about my subjects, I have a strong understanding of the content involved, experience in independent learning and a knowledge capable of breaking down difficult concepts clearly and effectively in a way to benefit each student.
My main interests are in Mathematics and physics, but I have other interests in philosophy, chemistry, and literature. I love to hike, run, play football, and read books. Overall I love maths and physics, with keen interests in nuclear physics and nonlinear dynamics. I am working towards a career in physics and so I can help any student learn and work towards their own goals, whether that be in mathematics or physics, or anything more broadly.

Sessions are available in person or online, and I tailor my approach to suit each student — whether that means focused exam preparation, building a deeper conceptual understanding, or extending beyond the syllabus for those who want to go further. My deep understanding of these subjects allows me to explain unfamiliar or difficult content with ease, in a way that's benefiting to future and immediate development.
I am extremely experienced in building skills outside of the content, such as revision methods, note taking, workflow, and timing practices, all things which are extremely beneficial inside and outside of academia.
My general style is one of a partnership in which I and the student will work together to achieve our goals, and develop both as tutor and tutee.
