About Jacinda
I hold a masters in Critical Sociology, an honours degree in Sociology and Gender Studies, a creative writing certificate, my TESOL certification, Chef certification and I'm a nutritionist and athlete. Yes, I have a lot of tools to work with, making my life experience an asset to teaching.
As an instructor for over 15 years, I have met hundreds of students just like you. Students from all over the world with a variety of interests, experiences and cultural differences. The diversity of my students has taught me an appreciation for variances in socio-economics, geography, race, culture and ethnicity. My students create a social experience that enriches my life. I have an extensive background in leadership, teaching, and course development. Teaching allows me to share all these experiences with my students.

I am an energetic, results focused individual with over 15 years work experience teaching at the post-secondary level employing a variety of delivery formats while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The key to critical, effective learning is to keep curriculum current, real and relevant. I am a strong believer in the importance of goal setting to achieve individual results. My primary role is to encourage student success.
I promote understanding of the subject matter in an enjoyable way, making it easier to study. I have taught students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities - teaching with accommodations in mind and those who English is a second language. I have developed and delivered a variety of courses and different subject matter affording me more flexibility in tutoring, put the needs of the students first.
I would be a good fit for students preparing for post-secondary education or those who are already enrolled in college or university courses. Lessons will be designed on an individual or by class bases. Fees will be determined accordingly.
