About Jahnnvi
Hi, I’m Jahnnvi, a Master’s graduate in Medical Biotechnology with a strong academic background in biological sciences and a genuine passion for teaching.
My interest in Biology has always gone beyond textbooks — I am deeply fascinated by how molecular mechanisms translate into real-world health outcomes. Throughout my academic journey, I realized that I not only enjoyed learning complex concepts but also explaining them to others in a way that makes them feel simple and logical. That is ultimately what motivated me to teach.
I have been involved in academic support and tutoring at the University of Queensland, where I worked closely with students to break down challenging biological systems, laboratory concepts, and research material. Seeing students move from confusion to confidence is what makes teaching fulfilling for me.
I want to teach because I believe the right guidance can completely transform how a student experiences science. Biology is often perceived as content-heavy and overwhelming, but with the right structure and strategy, it becomes intuitive and even exciting. My goal is not just to help you score well, but to help you truly understand and enjoy the subject.

My approach to tutoring is structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations in Biology rather than rote memorisation, which is especially important for senior secondary and university-level subjects. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding, identifying knowledge gaps, and aligning lessons with their syllabus or course objectives.
A typical session runs for 60–90 minutes. Lessons usually include concept explanation, diagram-based learning (essential for Biology), active recall practice, and exam-style question application. For university students, I also incorporate research interpretation, scientific writing guidance, and assistance with understanding journal articles where relevant.
I hold a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology and have academic tutoring experience at the University of Queensland, where I support students in understanding complex biological systems and laboratory-based concepts. This experience has strengthened my ability to explain advanced material clearly and effectively.
My lessons are suitable for senior high school students (Years 10–12), including those preparing for ATAR pathways, as well as first- and second-year university students studying Biology, Biomedical Science, or related life science disciplines. I aim to create a supportive but academically rigorous environment that builds both confidence and long-term mastery.
