About Janet
I have been a tutor since the 1900’s! I started out teaching English to Japanese University students and have moved into elementary education because I have my own elementary aged kids now. I see the curriculum that many districts have, and I think there are better ways to teach the important content! It is important to me that every student can get a solid foundation so they can learn more!

I love creative and fun lessons! Kids spend so much time at school - tutoring should be fun! I am a certified Montessori guide, so I love to find manipulatives and hands-on activities to really reinforce learning. Using manipulatives will always help the brain understand what the hands are doing.
