About Naomi
I have chosen to focus much of my professional development on creating accessible learning opportunities, whether it be a need for support to understand concepts, assessments and other learning activities or the need to be further challenged and extended.
I feel strongly about diversity and the right of all peoples to be seen, safe and included. I value respect over all and believe everyone is capable of learning which shapes my approach and underscores my professionalism.
I am a mother of two adult boys and a stepmother to two teen girls. I enjoy reading, movies, music and traveling. I absolutely love the beach and ocean, but have a fear of deep water and sunburn very easily. Yes, I'm a bit of a nerd but I wear it with pride!

I work with students to both build on their current knowledge and skills, and identify gaps in their learning in order to ensure a strong foundation. The focus of lessons is driven by student need and individualised to suit their context.
I take pride in developing positive, respectful working relationships with my students which creates a safe space for them to take risks and reach their potential in terms of their learning.
My goal is to guide students to become independent learners, with a clear understanding of their strengths and areas for development.
A love of my subject area and enjoyment derived from working with young people motivates me to continue developing my own skills and knowledge in order to deliver the best possible outcomes for my students.
