I am currently a student at Queen Mary University of London studying Masters in Applied Linguistics for English teaching. Prior to it, I have been working as a private English tutor giving lessons to students of various ages in Hong Kong.

I take both communicative competence and grammar rather seriously. For younger learners, I tend to focus more on explicit grammar teaching whereas for older and more proficient learners, my focus would be more on how to use language functionally and appropriately.
