About Weston
I teach because the scent of whiteboard markers and the sharp click of a calculator remain the most satisfying sensory images of my professional life. After finishing my Master of Science in Statistics at the University of Chicago, I realized that my true calling was to fix the broken math foundations of engineering and STEM students. You might be surprised to learn that 479 students have passed through my classroom since I started this work 13 years ago.
My instruction covers the chain rule, Taylor series, and curve sketching with a specific, direct focus on mechanics. High school students often come to me feeling stuck on related rates or implicit differentiation. I treat every tutoring hour as an opportunity to replace confusion with a rigid, logical framework.
Whether we are tackling area and volume or complex optimization problems, I rely on a no-nonsense approach to ensure you grasp the material. I am here to build your competence and I know my methods work.

You deserve a session that discards the filler and focuses entirely on the math that matters. Since you are likely an AP Calculus or engineering student, I make sure we spend our time on the challenging concepts like integration by parts and differential equations.
I adjust the pace based on how quickly you absorb the logic behind the chain rule. Because I have 13 years of experience, I anticipate exactly where your progress will stumble before it happens. Are you ready to see how a methodical, foundations-first approach changes your results? We will draw graphs, derive functions, and apply formulas until the logic is second nature.
My objective is to turn you into a student who solves problems independently. Keep your pencil moving and we will get the job done.
