About Charles
My teaching approach for The Soloist in Training and The Church Ensemble Player is rooted in vocal wellness, mindfulness, and long-term voice care. We pay close attention to hydration, vocal rest, and posture, creating a supportive routine that nurtures the voice over time. Mindful singing is central—each session blends technique with presence, helping students stay grounded while exploring their vocal range and tone. We work on healthy vocal placement, so the voice remains strong yet free, whether you're singing a solo or blending with a group. I incorporate guided breath work tools and mindfulness timers to help reduce tension and bring joy into the process. Vocal tracking apps are used to gently monitor growth, identify patterns, and set goals with intention. These tools offer quiet motivation while honoring your natural pace. My goal is to help students sing with calm, clarity, and confidence—not just today, but for years to come. Singing should be a source of peace, not pressure. With each lesson, we build not just skill, but a deep connection to the joy of the voice.

I'm a passionate singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Voice Emphasis. I specialize in providing personalized voice lessons tailored to each student’s goals, whether you're a school learner, college student, or an adult/professional artist.
