About Amy
Hi! I’m Amy, a Psychology graduate with First Class Honors and a current Master of Teaching (Primary) student.
I’m passionate about helping students become more confident communicators and develop the literacy skills they need across their schooling. Whether a student is working on spelling, writing, grammar, reading, or English assessments, I aim to make learning clear, encouraging, and achievable.
My Psychology background has also given me an understanding of the importance of confidence and individual differences in learning. I take the time to understand where a student is currently at and adapt my support accordingly.

For younger students, lessons may focus on spelling patterns, vocabulary, phonics, reading comprehension, grammar and building foundational writing skills. For secondary students, I can support areas such as written expression, grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, text analysis and developing clear assessment responses.
I use explicit instruction, modelling, examples, guided practice and opportunities for students to apply their skills independently. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, with activities adjusted to the student's age, ability and learning goals.
