About Verónica
I am an experienced Spanish teacher (10 years old), holder of a Master in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Barcelona. I recently moved from Kenya due to my husband's current position at the Permanent Representation of Finland. In Nairobi I worked for four years in an international school as a Spanish teacher IB (International Baccalaureate) and IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), teaching students aged 11 to 18. My daily routines also included planning work programs and lesson preparation, conducting summative and formative assessments, writing reports, and preparing and marking entrance exams and annual exams.

My job as a Spanish teacher - working with students aged 9 to 70 - has been to prepare language programs whose ultimate goal was to meet the demands of diverse groups of learners. I have a solid experience in the conception of didactic units with contextualized activities aiming to develop the communicative, linguistic and pragmatic capacities of the students. This resulted in a holistic learning experience and active use of the language by my students.
