About Sejal

Hi, I'm Sejal! I recently completed my Undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Masters degree in Computer Science from UMass Amherst, where I developed a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications. I further broadened my expertise in both fields. Throughout my undergraduate years, I assisted my peers with calculus, helping them grasp complex concepts and succeed in their studies.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA) for both Mathematics and Computer Science courses, I have honed my skills in explaining difficult concepts clearly and effectively. I thoroughly enjoy guiding students to understand the "why" and "what" behind their studies, fostering natural curiosity and a genuine interest in the subject matter.

About the lesson

My teaching method focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation and encouraging critical thinking. I use a combination of visual aids, practical examples, and interactive problem-solving sessions to make complex topics more accessible. A typical lesson plan begins with a brief review of previous topics to ensure continuity. I introduce new concepts with clear explanations and illustrative examples, followed by guided practice problems. We then move to independent problem-solving, where I provide support as needed. The lesson concludes with a summary of key points and a Q&A session to address any lingering doubts.

My experience as a TA has equipped me with the skills to explain difficult concepts clearly and effectively, fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment.
