My Teaching Approach
I believe effective teaching is about making concepts simple, practical, and easy to understand. My approach is student-focused, where I first understand the learner’s current level, difficulties, and goals, and then adapt my teaching style accordingly.
Teaching Techniques & Methods
- Explain concepts step-by-step using simple language and practical examples.
- Use real-life situations to make Mathematics and Statistics easier to understand.
- For English, focus on grammar, vocabulary, communication, reading, writing, and confidence-building.
- For CV building, provide practical guidance on creating professional, ATS-friendly CVs and presenting skills and experience effectively.
- Encourage students to ask questions and actively participate rather than only listening.
- Provide exercises, practice questions, and feedback to strengthen understanding.
- Adjust the pace and difficulty based on each student's progress.
Usual Class Structure
1. Quick revision – Review the previous topic and clear any doubts.
2. Introduction – Explain what we will learn and why it is useful.
3. Concept explanation – Teach the topic step-by-step with examples.
4. Guided practice – Solve questions or complete activities together.
5. Independent practice – Let the student apply what they have learned.
6. Feedback & doubts – Identify mistakes and explain how to improve.
7. Recap – Summarize the key points and, when appropriate, provide practice work.
