About Maryum
Hi! I’m Maryum, a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering with a background in Physics and a passion for teaching. I’ve worked with students at various levels and understand that every learner is different. My goal is to make math and science less overwhelming and more approachable, whether you're trying to catch up, improve your grades, or prepare for an exam. I focus on building confidence and clarity through simple explanations, real-world examples, and a lot of encouragement. My approach as a tutor focuses on simplifying complex concepts and adapting to each student’s learning style. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, so I create a supportive and interactive environment where they feel confident to explore and make mistakes.
I usually begin each lesson by reviewing key points from previous sessions to reinforce understanding. Then, I introduce new topics with clear explanations and real-life examples, followed by guided practice and problem-solving. I end the session with a quick recap and a few checks to assess progress and clarify any doubts.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect theory with practical application, thanks to my academic background. With a Bachelor’s in Physics and currently pursuing a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, I bring both depth and approachability to subjects like math and science. My teaching experience has taught me how to explain difficult topics in a way that makes sense to students of different levels.
I offer tutoring for middle and high school students in math and physics, as well as first-year university students looking to strengthen their foundations. Whether the goal is to boost grades, prepare for exams, or gain confidence, I tailor each lesson to support the student’s individual goals.
