About Sophia
Passionate about teaching mathematics and physics, I have a solid and diverse experience in this field. I have already given private lessons to many students, which has allowed me to develop a great ability to quickly identify difficulties and propose solutions adapted to each individual. In addition, I held a position as a professor's assistant at EPFL for two consecutive years, where I supervised students in mathematics and physics. This experience gave me the opportunity to strengthen my teaching skills and master different teaching approaches, depending on the specific needs of the students.

I offer private math and physics lessons based on real-world problem-solving. My teaching approach is to help students gain a deep understanding of the concepts covered by contextualizing them through exercises tailored to their level. A typical lesson begins with a quick discussion to clearly identify the student's challenges. I then work with them to solve targeted exercises to review and deepen key concepts. As we progress, we work together on detailed problem-solving for a variety of problems, fostering autonomy and confidence. My unique skills as a teacher lie in my ability to make science accessible and engaging, while constantly adapting my explanations to how students learn best. My goal is to impart solid and effective reasoning methods, rather than memorizing them. My classes are aimed at students from middle school to high school (all majors), as well as anyone wishing to strengthen their foundations in math and physics as part of their higher education. Whether you are struggling or simply want to deepen your knowledge, I am here to support you and help you progress.
