About Jay
I have a master's degree in clinical psychology from Columbia University with straight As (a 4.0 GPA) and strong academic knowledge as well as research and writing skills. Additionally I have experience volunteering in the clinical world which provides me with practical/applied knowledge. Put together, I am equipped to help students understand and apply the subject matter in an effective manner.

I believe that everyone is different in how they learn and understand what is taught. And even for the same individual there can be differences in how they learn, say, math versus science versus some other topic. I strive to understand the student's needs and meet them at their level. The sessions are catered accordingly using lecture slides, quizzes, essay prompts etc as needed. I can also help with the fundamentals of academic writing and APA formatting.
