About Silvia-Ioana
I have recently finished MNeuro research, which is based on my original proposal investigating the molecular dynamics a kinase cascade during neurodevelopment and its relevance for neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders like ASD, ADHD, schizophrenia and substance use disorders. Feel free to ask me questions about it, but be wary - it may lead to a very long albeit entertaining discussion which, ironically enough, ultimately covers topics in almost, if not all subjects I tutor for.
Other fields of neuroscience I love are neuropsychopharmacology and systems neuroscience. I'm also very passionate about medicine, epistemiology, formal logic and schientific method.
I am a person of diverse interests, i.e., all over the place: went to arts school, used to be a math wiz and athlete, worked for art magazines and directed a few plays... so I am half an inch away from drifting on a tangent

Over the past 4 years I have developed my methodology such to first observe the student's thought process and structure to tailor my delivery. Being a very calm, patient individual, I am more than happy to answer any questions and spend however long to make sure that the content is indeed truly understood and digested by the student. Furthermore, I am hugely analytical by nature and any suggestion that an aspect may be unclear to the student will immediately drive me to to dig however deeply is necessary to identify and clarify that aspect, however discrete it may be.
Upon request, I can additionally:
-> help the student explore the subject further by either developing a highly specific, applied workflow/plan (depending on each case);
-> provide tailored, well-structured notes prior to the lesson to facilitate a more streamlined experience.
Feel free to contact me if you are interested to understand basic/particular concepts in Neuroscience, no matter your background. 'Lessons' here are defined as 1 hour-long; however, sessions are not limited to one hour. Depending on the extent and detail of the content, we can discuss longer sessions (max. 4 hours per single session; billed as 4 hours).
