About Ed
I am a dedicated audio engineer, producer, and composer trained at Abbey Road Institute, with extensive experience across studio mixing, electronic music production, live sound and mixing and mastering. I also have an in-depth knowledge of music theory and have played jazz piano for 10 years.
Having worked deeply with both digital audio workstations and hardware mixing consoles, my approach bridges technical precision with artistic feel.

Transform your home demos into polished, commercial-quality tracks. Whether you're battling muddy mixes or wanting to master the software you use every day. I teach practical, real-world techniques that make your music sound radio and streaming-ready.
Instead of generic online tutorials, we focus directly on your projects and goals. Key topics include:
Mixing Fundamentals: Frequency management (EQ), dynamic control (compression/limiting), gain staging, and spatial effects (reverbs, delays, width).
DAW Mastery: In-depth workflows, shortcuts, signal routing, and session organisation in Pro Tools and Logic Pro.
Sound Design & Production: Arranging tracks for clarity, layering electronic/organic elements, and building tension and release.
Mastering: Understanding loudness standards, stereo imaging, and preparing final masters for streaming platforms.
Critical Listening: Developing your ears to identify harsh resonances, masking issues, and tonal balance.
