About Harvey
Hello! My name is Harvey and I am currently studying my master's in Mathematics at the University of York. Over the years I have developed a passion for maths, fascinated by patterns, calculations and logical reasoning. With a strong foundation in mathematics from my A-level studies, my aim is to further my own knowledge and hopefully make others enjoy the beauty of maths as much as I do. Recognising the uniqueness of every student and how everyone learns differently, I intend to tailor the experience to the student, suggest effective revision and learning strategies to ensure success. I have been a private tutor for over 2 years with 700+ lessons and consistently rated 5 stars on other platforms. I have plenty of experience teaching students in years 10 to 13. The courses I can teach are: GCSE Maths Foundation/Higher (All exam boards), Further Maths GCSE, AS/A-Level GCSE (AQA/Edexcel/OCR), Further Maths AS/A-Level Pure Core (AQA/Edexcel/OCR) All sessions will be conducted on Google Meet.

Each lesson will be carefully tailored to the student's needs. Knowing what the student's strengths and weaknesses are assists me in doing this, which is why my aim initially is to quickly examine the student to find these attributes. Following an approach which actively engages the student to ensure they are following, I like to make sure that no question is left unanswered and every idea I teach is understood thoroughly before moving on.
