About Maya
My approach as a tutor is rooted in both education and student well-being. With a background in counseling and experience scoring assessments for Pearson, I understand the academic standards students are expected to meet as well as the personal challenges that can affect learning. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing critical thinking skills. I am passionate about student welfare and believe that academic success is most sustainable when students feel understood, supported, and empowered. My goal is not only to help students improve their performance but also to foster resilience, self-confidence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
