About Selene
As a jazz guitar tutor, my passion for music and teaching is at the heart of everything I do. My journey with the guitar began when I was a teenager, and it quickly became more than just a hobby—it turned into a lifelong pursuit. Jazz, with its rich history and boundless creativity, captivated me in a way no other genre could. This deep connection with jazz music has fueled my dedication to sharing its beauty and complexity with my students. I believe that every chord, scale, and improvisational moment in jazz tells a story, and I am committed to helping my students discover and tell their own musical stories.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of being a tutor is seeing my students' growth and enthusiasm as they progress. I believe that music is a powerful form of expression and communication, and my goal is to help each student find their unique voice through the guitar. I strive to create a learning environment that is both challenging and supportive, encouraging students to push their boundaries while also celebrating their achievements. Watching a student nail a difficult solo or compose their first jazz piece is incredibly rewarding and reminds me why I love teaching.
