About Maria Konstantina
I believe that any student can accomplish their goals with the right encouragement and empowered with the right skills. Writing, test-taking, and establishing an understanding of the world is crucial beyond school, and being prepared to tackle challenges and accomplish goals will require a high level of competence in all three.
This is where I come in! I have a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in History from the University in Toronto and MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics. I have taken many classes, written many papers, and am very proud of my experience. But I wasn't born a good student. I worked at it, learned how to succeed, shared this knowledge with peers as a Student Tutor, and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with you!

I am an experienced tutor with a passion for empowering students with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in their studies and build on their passions! I have experience in a variety of subjects, and have helped students with dyslexia, ADHD and other learning concerns. I also specialise in helping students who have fallen back on work and need to catch up.
My approach to teaching is to understand the unique needs of each student in order to best connect the material to them. I believe every student can produce high-quality work with the proper tools and support. I ask a lot of questions to build confidence and knowledge.
I have extensive experience as a virtual and in-person tutor. My most recent experience was providing virtual classes to secondary and middle-school students. I am adept at balancing multiple students' needs. Previous to this role, I worked as a peer tutor for my university, with a special focus on History.
Typically, I lead lessons that last 2 hours. I believe it is important to lead each lesson with a conversation on where the student is at, what they have achieved, and what setting an intention and action plan for the session. Additionally, a longer lesson allows for more in-depth discussions on the content, how to tackle problems the student may be facing, without feeling cut off.
