About Marie
I am a retired mechanical engineer who loves to learn and be outside. I enjoy skiing, sailing and gardening. I sew and cook. My biggest joy in tutoring is helping students find the ah-ha moment in a field of study.

I enjoy helping students find their best way to learn. Reviewing what has happened previously helps me formulate a plan for success by identifying areas or methods of study that can be improved. We work together as a team to learn the key essentials of the subject, identify methods of working smarter and relate areas of study to real-life applications. I encourage the use of help aides and provide those when possible. I have taught Grade 2 math through doctoral level physics. I enjoy the engineering suite of classes as well as trigonometry, geometry and calculus

Details
The first session can be a phone call to align on a session time and cadence, or an online session. We will not be doing any subject tutoring during this time.
The hourly rate can be adjusted based on the amount of prep time needed outside of the session. Meaning if I need to put together a study curriculum or worksheets, the cost is as quoted. If you bring all the materials, the hourly rate may be adjusted based on the subject matter.
To secure our session, you will need to pay 48 hours in advance.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the session will be charged at the agreed rate between the student and me.
