About Maelle
Growing up, my father (a teacher) instilled his passion for teaching into my everyday life. As I grew and started studying at a higher level, I also became passionate about educating those I came in contact with. This is why I started tutoring in my early twenties during my studies, gaining 4 years of experience tutoring high school level math and sciences before I came to New Zealand. This passion was still with me while I worked toward a Ph.D. in Engineering at the University of Auckland, and this motivated me to take on the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant through this journey, gaining an additional 3 years of experience teaching. Since 2020, I have focused on my engineering career, and I am now ready to rekindle my love for teaching.

I began teaching while studying for my Master of Engineering in France between 2012 and 2015, then taught various topics at the University of Auckland School of Engineering as a Graduate Teacher Assistant between 2016 and 2019.
I like to tailor my approach to the student to ensure they understand the resolution methods and principles, allowing them to solve similar problems confidently.
Lessons are typically one hour long, but I am flexible on the day to ensure the concept is well understood.
I am focusing these lessons on a high school level (year 9 to year 13) as this is the level I enjoy teaching the most.
