Conheci a Cláudia enquanto fazia a minha tese de licenciatura, durante a qual foi minha co-orientadora. Ajudou-me muito na organização e planificação dos ensaios laboratoriais que tive de fazer, assim como na escrita da tese, dando sempre conselhos apropriados. É uma pessoa animada e engraçada, mas também muito dedicada e focada nos trabalhos dos quais faz parte.

It is with confidence and pleasure that I am recommending Ms. Cláudia Coutinho
as an academic tutor. I am a biology engineering student finishing my last year, and I had
the chance and opportunity to work alongside Cláudia for five months in CIIMAR and
Polytechnique Porto this summer.
I directly acknowledged her laboratory skills which she shared with me and taught
me with goodwill and pedagogy.
I would confidently say that she is a very organized person. She organized most of the
experiments we had to conduct, and she always planned considering deadlines, as well
as the resources we had in our possession.
Also, I would describe Cláudia as very kind and altruistic. Thanks to her perfect handling
of the English language, as well as her scientific expertise, she helped me all along the
writing of my master’s thesis. Furthermore, her advice on how to present or analyse the
data was truly necessary.
As it concerns human skills, Cláudia is a very supportive person. She can handle
her stress while helping others during a stressful period, which makes her a competent
tutor. Her ability to explain easily hard concepts to people is a true strength. She can
easily explain complex theories and make them understandable to anyone.
She is also a very determined and resigned person. Having started her own business in
the baking industry from a young age, this shows both her motivation and creativity.
I would finish by saying that she is a selfless person, in her career dreams or in her
hobbies, she is dedicated to pleasing people, by making them healthy and happy. Her
wish to work in the neuroscience field to find a cure to uncommon degenerative diseases
is a perfect example for that, as well as her baking activity on the side.
Anyone who gets the chance to have Cláudia as a tutor would improve his skills
rapidly while meeting a generous, kind, and warm person.
