• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I've always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and creativity. My interest in web development began when I created a personal blog during high school. Initially, I was using standard templates, but as I delved deeper, I started experimenting with HTML and CSS to customize the look and feel of the site. I was captivated by how small changes in code could drastically alter the design and functionality of a webpage.
  
  This experience led me to explore more about web development. I started taking online courses and eventually decided to pursue a degree in computer science with a focus on web technologies. I enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems and the satisfaction of building something functional and visually appealing. The web is constantly evolving, and the opportunity to continuously learn and adapt to new tools and frameworks keeps me motivated and passionate about this field.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My motivation to teach stems from a combination of personal experiences and influential mentors. Growing up, I was fortunate to have several teachers who made a profound impact on my education and personal development. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and ability to make learning engaging and accessible inspired me deeply. They showed me the power of education to transform lives and spark curiosity.

• How does your work help society?

  My work helps society by equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their personal and professional lives. As a teacher, I foster a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. By inspiring and educating the next generation, I contribute to creating a well-informed and capable citizenry, which is crucial for the progress and well-being of our society. Additionally, by being an advocate for lifelong learning and inclusivity in education, I help ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential, thereby promoting equity and social mobility.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  When I think of a role model in web development, I immediately think of Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web. His vision of a free and open web has transformed the way we access information and communicate globally. Berners-Lee's dedication to making the web accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or resources, deeply resonates with me. His emphasis on innovation, openness, and the ethical implications of web technology inspires my approach to web development.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside of teaching, I enjoy several hobbies that help me relax and stay creative. One of my main hobbies is painting, which allows me to express myself and explore different perspectives through art. I find that the creative process involved in painting is a great way to unwind and recharge.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  During my time as a student, one of the most memorable experiences was working on a group project in my final year of university. We were tasked with developing a web application from scratch, and each of us brought a different skill set to the table. Initially, we struggled to agree on the direction of the project and how to divide the workload.
  
  However, as we progressed, we realized that by leveraging our individual strengths and communicating openly, we could create a more cohesive and effective final product. I took the lead on organizing our meetings and setting deadlines, while others contributed with their technical expertise and creative design skills.
