About Gigi
My parents dropped out of school by grade 9, and I didn't have anyone around me to help me with school or university. I've always felt like I was just a kid who learned science concepts thinking "oh, yeah, that makes sense!" I understand our world through science and I'm an excellent teacher because I also know what it's like NOT to know something - I was a student once too!
Let me help you understand the world around you, one biology lesson at a time. I speak in a super easy-to-understand way without using complicated words, and I don't have any expectations for you to know everything - that's why I'm here!

Science isn't always the easiest to understand, so I like explaining things as if we're having a regular conversation. Watch me break down complex topics like "cellular signal transduction" to ordering a pizza! I'll teach you ways to learn in-class and study on your own, so you're more confident and eventually won't even need the help of a tutor in the future!
I love meeting students in-person, because I can draw pictures/diagrams for you and physically see how your brain works as you solve problems. I teach biology in a way that any age group would be able to understand me.
I teach biology from grades 10-12 and any biology or cellular/molecular biology courses offered at the university-level.
I used to teach first-year university biochemistry labs for 3 years. Here's what my students had to say:
