About Ashlee
I am a multidisciplinary artist with over 30 years of experience creating and teaching art. My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, which shaped my love for design, textiles, and craftsmanship, and later grew into a Master’s in Art & Design, where I expanded my practice into fine art, abstract painting, and creative instruction. Over the years, I’ve showcased my work in art shows in Los Angeles and am now deeply involved in the art community in Atlanta, collaborating with other creatives and bringing my vision of sustainable, meaningful art to life. A cornerstone of my practice is my use of sustainable and recycled materials in my textile art — transforming fabrics, leather, and found materials into bold, environmentally conscious pieces. My true passion is not just in creating art, but in sharing it with others. I love helping people tap into their creativity, whether they are complete beginners or seasoned creators looking to try something new. I’ve hosted paint parties where even those with no prior painting experience walk away proud of their creations, and I design lessons that blend color theory, abstract portraiture, textile exploration, and design principles. My approach is personal and encouraging, helping each student discover their own voice while learning practical skills. For me, teaching art is about more than technique — it’s about confidence, expression, and joy. I believe everyone has the ability to create something beautiful, and I’m here to guide that process step by step

You won’t just learn how to make art — you’ll learn how to think like an artist, gaining skills and confidence to create across many styles and mediums.
