About Dom
I am a Master of Architecture graduate from Robert Gordon University, with several years of experience in architectural practice, specialising in architectural design, technical development and project resolution.
My approach to architecture combines creative design thinking with a strong understanding of construction, materiality and spatial organisation. I have a particular interest in architectural representation, including hand drawing, physical model-making and the communication of complex design ideas.
I am also a recipient of the prestigious RSA John Kinross Scholarship, recognising my architectural work and supporting further research into historic European architecture, construction and structural design.
Having experienced the demands of architectural education alongside professional practice, I understand the challenges students face when developing projects, preparing portfolios and presenting their work for critical review.
I want to share this knowledge by providing thoughtful, constructive guidance that helps students develop confidence in their design decisions, strengthen their technical understanding and establish their own architectural approach.
My aim is not to design projects for students, but to help them become more independent, capable and considered architectural designers.

My lessons provide tailored architectural guidance for students seeking to strengthen their design thinking, technical understanding and presentation skills.
Drawing on my Master of Architecture qualification and professional experience in architectural practice, I offer constructive design reviews, portfolio critiques and support with developing projects from initial concept through to technical resolution.
Sessions are structured around each student's individual projects, academic requirements and areas for improvement. I place particular emphasis on architectural drawing, spatial composition, construction detailing, model-making and communicating design intent effectively.
My approach is collaborative and analytical, encouraging students to develop their own architectural identity while improving the clarity, technical credibility and overall quality of their work.
Whether preparing for a university design review, refining a portfolio or resolving a challenging design problem, my aim is to provide practical, informed feedback that helps students progress with confidence.
